She was the wife of the late Antonio V. Musorafite, who passed away on May 29, 2008.
Born Aug. 5, 1925, in New York City, Betty was the daughter of the late Rosario and Alesandrina (Butti) Colicchio, who passed away when Elizabeth was only four. She was then raised by her father Rosario and stepmother, Dena Colicchio.
Betty was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Roman Catholic Church. She had been a member of the American Legion Post 9, the Golden Age Club and the Ambassador Club of Palmer Township.
Betty loved life and relished in times spent with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, was lucky at bingo and was a phenomenal Italian cook. She was an avid crafter who generously donated over 100 handmade crochet blankets to her church for babies, the sick and needy. She led by example, instilling in her children the importance of family and being together.
Betty is survived by her four children, Christine Ames and partner John Myers (Saratoga Springs, NY), Teresa Mehlig and husband Edmund (Easton, PA), Elizabeth Talkington and husband Ray (St. Croix, VI) and Anthony Musorafite (Torrance, CA); nine grandchildren, Edmund, Angela, Janine, Jennifer, Alexis, Tony, Justin, LoriAnn and Jesse; 11 great-grandchildren, Selena, Kahliel, Ryan, Hailey, Alex, Braden, Chase, Alana, Koltan, Rylan and Kaedence; and two great-great-grandchildren, Annalise and Sayge. She is also survived by one brother, Guido Colicchio of Florida.
In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by a sister, Lucy Bartunek, and a brother, Louie Colicchio.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the Morello Funeral Home Inc., 3720 Nicholas St., Palmer Twp., PA. An additional calling hour will be held Thursday, Sept. 13, from 9 to 10 a.m., in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Palmer, PA. Entombment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
