Mr. James Harvey Clemson, 81, of Frederick, MD passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the Edenton Retirement Community. He was the beloved husband of the late Peggy Clemson.

Born January 11, 1937 in Frederick, MD he was the son of the late Paul H. and Margaret E. (Baker) Clemson.

James graduated from Frederick High School in 1955 where he enjoyed playing high school football. Following his graduation, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. After his time in the service, he went to work for the Pepco Power Plant and retired from there after 36 years. He loved to work on his farm in Adamstown, MD. Upon retirement he enjoyed helping his son with his landscaping business, mowing the lawn and gardening.

He is survived by his son Matthew Clemson and wife Michelle and their children, Sarah and Jacob Clemson.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 6-8PM where a funeral service will be held Friday, September 21 at 1PM. Rev. David Betzner will officiate. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of Frederick County.

Interment will follow at Union Chapel Cemetery.
