MISS B. WEAKS' FUNERAL HELD
Only Immediate Family Is In Attendance At Service Friday
A private funeral was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. Harvey Trousdale, 117 Hudson Lane, Friday at 10 am for Miss Bower Weaks, sister of Mrs. Trousdale, who died in a local hospital after several weeks' illness, Thursday noon. Following a short sentence, interment took place in Riverview Burial Park. The funeral was conducted according to the express wishes of Miss Weaks, only members of the family attending, and no flowers being sent. The Mulhearn Funeral Home was in charge.

Miss Weaks was a member of a prominent Monroe family, her father being the late Major James C. Weaks, who served as officer in the war between the states. Also at another time he was a steamboat captain and still later served as postmaster at Monroe.

Miss Weaks was regarded as a highly successful business woman, being at the time of her death, and for many years, secretary-treasurer of the Weaks Supply Company, Inc. Her brother, George G. Weaks, Sr., is chairman of the board of directors, and a nephew of Miss Weaks, Geeoge G. Weaks, Jr., is president.

Surviving are the following brothers:
George Gibson Weaks, Sr. of Monroe
John Pinckney Weaks of Mercedes, Texas

Estelle Weaks Reily (Mrs. W. B. Reily) of New Orleans
Jennie Belle Weaks Trousdale (Mrs. J. Harvey Trousdale) of Monroe
