Miss. Monk was born January 20, 1926 in Paulding County, Georgia, daughter of the late Silas Monk and the late Ludie Holland Monk. She was a member of New Hope Second Baptist Church and worked as a Secretary.
Survivors include special niece, Mark and Susan Brewer of Douglasville and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services were held on Thursday, Novemeber 3, 2005 at 4:00 PM at the New Hope Cemetery with Rev. Mac Cregger and Rev. Merle Barron officiating.
