Johanna, of Kilclooney, was born in Durrow, Co. Waterford, Ireland to Thomas Walshe.


Johanna was married to Thomas Hassett on 23rd Feb. 1897 at Stradbally Catholic Church, Co. Waterford, and they had four children.

THE LATE MRS. JOHANNA HASSETT, KILCLOONEY.


The late Mrs. Johanna Hassett, Kilclooney, Co. Waterford, was one of the best-known residents in the parish of Clonea, and a member of a well-known and widely connected Co. Waterford family—the Walsh's, of Barnakill, Durrow. There was a large attendance at the removal of the remains to Clonea Catholic Church on Saturday evening, and at the interment on Sunday, after 11 o'clock Mass at Clonea Churchyard. Office and High Mass for the repose of the soul of Mrs. Hassett took place on Monday at Clonea Church and was attended by a large number of relatives of the deceased. We sympathise with the family In their bereavement. R.I.P.
