Daughter of Frederick Gross and Susanna Andrews, wife of Frederick Fichter and mother of Maria, Elisabeth, Florence Sylvester and Susannah Fichter.

Wife of Thomas Fannicase, the son of Adam and Susanna Furnakees, and mother of Catherine, Caroline, Simon, Louisa and Thomas Fannicase.

In 1850, Christianna Gross, aged 14, was living in Hazle, Luzerne, Pa., in the home of her parents, Frederick Gross, aged 39, and Susan Gross, aged 38, with siblings, Stephen Gross, aged 17, Mundis Gross, aged 10, Reuben Gross, aged 8, Caroline Gross, aged 12, Elizabeth Gross, aged 6, Catharine Gross, aged 4, and Stephen Andres, aged 35. Her father was shown to be a laborer.

In 1860, Crisyann Fichter, aged 25, was living in Butler, Luzerne, Pa., post office Drums, with her children, Maria Fichter, aged 6, Elisabeth Fichter, aged 4, Silvester Fichter, aged 3, and Susanna Fichter, aged 7 months, in the home of her parents, Frederick Grose, aged 49, a farmer, and Susannah Grose, aged 49, and siblings, Amander Grose, aged 23, a farm laborer, and Catherine Grose, aged 15.

In 1870, Christina Fanicase, aged 34, was living in Hazle, Luzerne, Pa., with her husband, Thomas Fanicase, aged 33, and children, Catherine Fanicase, aged 5, Caroline Fanicase, aged 4, and Maggie Fanicase, aged 2. Her husband was shown to be a sawyer.

In 1880, Christiana Fernkees, aged 46, was living in Sandy Valley, Luzerne, Pa. with her husband, Thomas Fernkees, aged 40, and children, Caroline, aged 15, Simon, aged 10, Louise, aged 7, and Thomas Fernkees, aged 1. Her husband was shown to be a sawyer.

Death Certificate - Christiana Fannycase, aged 73 years, 5 months and 2 days, of 15 Tamarack, West Hazleton, Luzerne, Pa., born May 16, 1834 in Schugarloaf Township, the daughter of Frederick Gross and Susanna Andrews, died on November 18, 1907 in West Hazleton, Pa., from incidents due to old age, heart disease and dropsy, as certified by O. Hoffman, M.D. of West Hazleton, Pa. and was buried on November 20, 1907 at Mt. View by Bachman Bros., Undertaker, of Hazleton, Pa.

(Note: After her death, her husband remarried on August 9, 1907 to Mary Lahr in Carlisle, Cumberland, Pa.)
