She died in Omaha, Ne. on Sept. 26, 2018. Lucille was 98 years old.
Lucille was the 6th child of Nellie Carpenter and Arthur Atwill. She grew up in
a family of 11 children. There were 4 boys and 7 girls. She graduated from Lebanon High School in Lebanon, Ks. in 1938.
She met Milbert "Mel" Schroeder while she was working as
a waitress in a café across from his place of work (Creamery)
and they married on Dec. 31, 1940.
They had 2 sons; Lynn Eugene and Bruce Allen.
In 1964 Mel passed away.
In April of 1968 she married Martin Bausch. Martin passed away in 2002. They were living in Fairbury, Ne. at the time. They had lived in Tucson, Az. for
several years before moving back to Fairbury, Ne.
She then moved up to Omaha, Ne. to be near her son Bruce.
She was a daughter, sister, wife, Mother, grandmother, Aunt and niece.
