Evelyn Atwill, 18 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Atwill died at the family home here Sunday from peritonitis. She had been sick with flu, but was thought to have been recovered from the attack.

Evelyn Ellen, the third child of Arthur James and Nellie May Carpenter Atwill, was born in Jewell county, near Formoso, Ks., March 16, 1914 and passed from the scene of this life June 4, 1932, at Lebanon, Ks. Her span of earthly life was 18 years, 2 months and 19 days.

When Evelyn was two years old her parents came to Smith County and established their home northwest of Lebanon where she spent the major part of her life in home duties and attending school in it's season. Early this spring her parents came to make their home in Lebanon.

Evelyn had attained the rank of a junior in the local high school. Her's was a well earned place and her presence there shall be greatly missed. She is one of eleven children whose place in the family circle cannot be filled. Her going leaves her father, mother,brothers and sisters as follows: Ralph, Marguerite, Ada, Lucille, Arthur, Reida, Lona, Lois and Willard, all of whom are in the home here save Ralph.
