THOMAS NESTER, OF GP ORCHESTRA
Thomas Nester, 73, a real estate salesman and founder of the Grosse Pointe Symphony Orchestra, died Thursday in Cottage Hospital, Grosse Pointe Farms.
Mr. Nester of Grosse Pointe Farms was a salesman with Maxon Brothers Real Estate. He was honorary president and first violinist of the Grosse Pointe Symphony.
And he was a member of the American Legion Cadillac Post.
Survivors include his wife, Marion; two daughters, Mrs. A. Gerard Leone and Mrs. William H. Griffith; a sister; a brother and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church, 157 Lake Shore, Grosse Pointe Farms. Burial will be in Mt. Elliott Cemetery.
A rosary will be said at 8:15 p.m. Friday in the Verheyden Funeral Home, 16300 Mack, Grosse Pointe Park.
