Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon over the remains of John Howard Small whose sad demise occurred Thursday in Los Angeles. The services were held at the residence of John H. Brough where Mr. and Mrs. Small have been living since moving here in January of this year.
Mr. Small was born June 5th, 1883 at Clay Center, Kansas. He came to Utah some fifteen years ago and for five years he has been at Fillmore as the manager of the Millard County branch of the Studebaker company. Last January he was selected to take the position of manager of the Nephi branch. In 1907 Mr. Small was baptized a member of the Mormon church and in 1908 he was married to Miss Geneva Brough, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brough. His young wife and three small children, Marcus, Lucile, and Jacquita, are left to mourn his untimely death. He is also survived by an aged father, H.S. Small of Clay Center, Kansas, four brothers; B.F. Small of Montpelier, Idaho, Geo. Small of Mount Pleasant, Daniel Small of Leavenworth, Kentucky, and R.L. Small of Spanish Fork, and one sisters, Mrs. H.H. Rundle of Twin Falls, Idaho. Mrs. Rundle accompanied him to California and waited on him to the end. All of Mr. Small's family were present at the funeral services except his brother, Daniel, who was unable to attend on account of the long distance from his home.
