Funeral services for Phillip Wayne Barlow were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, under the direction of Sien-Shelton Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dale Nielsen officiating.
Interment followed in Rest Haven Cemetery under the direction of Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Phillip Wayne Barlow, age 64, of Skiatook, died Monday, Aug. 17, 2009 in the Pawhuska Nursing Home.
He was born June 18, 1945 in Sperry to Grover and Mildred (Dale) Barlow. He grew up and received his education in Sperry. He entered the United States National Guard where he was active duty for six months and was in the reserve for six years.
He married Martha Davis Aug. 4, 1978 in Tulsa and the couple made their home in Skiatook since that time. He was a machinist for W.C. Norris and retired from Weight Mfg. Company in 2007.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father and by two half-brothers.
He is survived by his wife Martha of the home; five children, Shawn Gay of Tulsa, Tracy Annette Brock of Florida, Anna Caldwell of Broken Arrow, Bonnie Strawn of Tulsa and Darren Barlow of Tulsa; three brothers, Ernest Barlow, James "Jim" Barlow and Gene "Butch" Barlow; one sister, Claudine Vail; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
