Indian Wars Medal of Honor Recipient. Born in Wexford, Ireland, he served in the United States Army during the Wars with the Plains Indians as a Sergeant in Company F, 5th United States Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for action on August 27, 1872 at Davidson Canyon, Arizona, his citation reading "In command of a detachment of four men, defeated a superior force." After he left the Army, he disappeared into history, and his subsequent life and final disposition remain unknown.
