William Brown was born in Odiham the son of Ann Brown. In 1841he was living near Horsedown Common in the home of his grandfather John North with his mother and older half-siblings, the children of James Brown who had died in 1832.
On the 10th May 1863 he married Mary Grainger at St Peter’s Church in Frimley. They lived in a cottage attached to Cross Farm in Frimley Green. They had eleven children born between 1863 and 1880.
William died aged 43 in July 1883 and was buried on the 4th July 1883. His widow Mary died in 1922 and is buried in Grave L4 VII
