He was born to parents Lester and Blanche Holmes on May 5, 1953, in Spokane Washington. He gave his service to the United States Army for 8 years and attended college at Phoenix University. Randy worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 35 years before retiring at age 55.
Randy is survived by his wife and best friend Kathy of 20 years, mother Blanche Holmes, daughters Erin Holmes, Erin Desfosses, sons Michael Whitmer, Dirk Whitmer, Evan Horne, brother Brad Holmes, grandson Brandon Cropley, Owen Cropley, Aiden Desfosses and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father Lester Holmes, brother Timothy Holmes and son Joey.
Randy was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to everyone. We are all heartbroken that he was taken to soon but are grateful for all the fond memories we were able to create.
Services will take place at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery Caribou on October 29, 2018 for immediate family.
