PORTER, IOLA GRAY, 92 Ocala - Mrs. Iola Gray Porter, 92, Transitioned from Earth to Heaven on May 7, 2007 at Hawthorne Village, Ocala, Florida. She was born in Otter Creek, Florida. She moved to Ocala, Florida from Jacksonville, Florida. She was a member of New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church, Ocala, Florida. She served on the Usher Board, Choir, Deaconess Ministry until her health began to fail. She also worked as a beautician for 38 years. She leaves behind her family and friends to celebrate her transition and to cherish her memories; husband of 66 years: Deacon James Porter of Ocala, Florida; daughter: Barbara Stacy of Bronson, Florida; two grandchildren, six great grandchildren; two sisters: Willie M. Cromp and Dorothy Edwards both of Bronson, Florida; brother: Oscar Gray of Jacksonville, Florida. Funeral services for Mrs. Iola Gray Porter will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 11 a.m. at The New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church, 606 Southwest Broadway Street, Ocala, Florida 34474 with the Reverend Stanley Jacobs, Pastor, conducting the services. Interment will be in John Milton Cemetery in Bronson, Florida. Visitation Friday at SUMMERS FUNERAL HOME, 2238 N.W. 10th St., Ocala from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday at the Church, 10 a.m. until time of service. No viewing after the eulogy.
