Ok, I've been thinking on this about all day. It's been a fucking terible day for me. Lilly came into my life about three years ago. I got her at 5 weeks old. I did my best for her and loved her to the moon and back.
My life changed the day I had to move and where I was going, it was just too dangerous for her. She was too hyper and we were moving to a busy road. Rather than have her dart out in front of a car or dump truck, I decided that it was best to find her a new home. I found her one with my former roommate. She already knew him from where we lived together and loved him and he loved her. He was the perfect candidate to take my precious Lilly. To let her go......That was the second hardest day of my life. Today would be the hardest. Today, I received the news that she had attacked a plumber and was at the pound. Then the news came that she had attacked an employee there. Worst part, she was then labled a vicious dog. According to the pound, she attacked a third person. At 3:30 this afternoon, my Lilly was put down. And that's not all. I also found out that she had a litter of puppies. And that they are at the pound too. So, my Lilly was murdered by the system for being over protective of her litter. Good job Pickins county. Real good job. There wasn't a visious bone in Lilly's body. I want to make it clear that I do not blame the care taker that I entrusted Lilly with. I believe he did everything in his power to protect her. This is longer than I anticipated, so, I hope y'all have had a better day than me.
