William “Bill” Thomas Blansett Sr., 92, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018. Bill was born on March 30, 1926, in Water Valley, Arkansas, to Lucien and Maude Catherine Counts Blansett.

Bill was a loving father, son, husband, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was a member of the traditional Catholic Church (CMRI), and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Bill was in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Lucien and Maude Counts Blansett; wife, Neva Mary Billeaudeau Blansett; sisters, Lillian Cooper and Mary Basinger; and nephew, Pat Basinger.

Bill is survived by his sons, William Thomas Blansett Jr., of Pocahontas, Lucian Anthony (Lucinda) Blansett, of Veneta, Oregon, Philipe Girard (Grethel) Blansett, of Sherwood, Don-Andre Blansett, of Pocahontas, and Antone Christopher Blansett, of Rogers; daughter, Joan Marie (William) Lee, of Lafayette, Louisiana; brother, Larry Allen Blansett, of Austin; sister, Ruth Bowman, of Alexander; grandchildren, John Lee, Jennifer McFarlain, Danielle Ziermans, Savannah Blansett, Miles Blansett, Adrian Blansett, Asa Blansett, Lucian Blansett Jr., Joseph Blansett, Bridgette Blansett, William Blansett, and Cecilia Blansett; and great grandchildren, Nicole Lee, Sophia Ziermans, Mylene Ziermans, William McFarlain, Charles McFarlain, Arabella Piney, and Addison Marie Blansett.

Fr. Gregory Drahman, officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, in Engelberg, Arkansas.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Keith Sutton, Keith DeClerk, Antone Blansett, Philipe Blansett, William Lee, and Adrian Blansett.
