A lifelong resident of the Carolinas, Kathy was
born in Washington, NC. to Lewis Jackson Adams and Katherine Swanner Adams. She graduated from Peace College and N.C. State and was a loving mother and homemaker. Kathy was passionate about international travel; journeying to such exotic locations as China, Russia, Australia, Patagonia, and inside the Artic Corcle. Her love of animals was evident through both the quantity and varity of pets that were fortunate enough to find themselves under her care.
Mrs. Duncan is survived by her husband, James David Duncan, Jr.;her son; James David Duncan III two sisters, Becky Buck of Raleigh, N.C. and her sons, Trey and Bryan; and Ann Bryan Womble, her husband, Jim Womble of Marietta, Ga. and their two daughters, Katherine and Ashley, and her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursady, November 11, 2010 at Wolfe Funeral Home Chapel.
