In 1900, attended college in Missouri while living at home of parents, per 1900 U.S. census. In 1910, was working as, actor, stage, per occupation listed on 1910 U.S. census at home of parent in Missouri.
He worked as a general manager for theatrical productions in New York City.
He married actress Lilyan Tashman on 30 November 1914, in Chicago, Illinois. They separated in 1920 and divorced in 1921. He first became acquainted with Tashman when she was working in a production featuring Eddie Cantor. Lee subsequently managed George White's Scandals.
Prior to his death he was married to Lizbeth H. Lee also known as Lisbeth Lee.
He died 8 November 1945 in Manhattan, New York.
His New York City death document lists his burial as Greenwood Cemetery, with death date 8 November 1945, and burial date 10 November 1945.
