Mrs. Bessie Guyton Campbell, 83, died Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at her home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 9, 2018, at Chester Memorial Gardens with Rev. Steve Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.

Mrs. Campbell was born January 5, 1935 in Gaston, County, NC and was a daughter of the late Phares F. Guyton and Louise Lowe Guyton. She attended the schools of Gaston County, NC and was retired from Springs Industries. She was of the Nazarene faith. Bessie was a hard worker; she loved her family and enjoyed gospel singing.

She is survived by two sons, Claude Campbell of Chester and Roger Campbell (Gail) of Seneca; one daughter, Janice E. Campbell of Dalton, Ga.; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one brother, Dewey Guyton (Joan) of Chester; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil P. Campbell; a son, Ralph Campbell; and a brother, Tommy Guyton.
