Funeral services for Robert Leslie LaBorde will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, November 12, 2018 in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel with Reverend Greg Willis and Reverend Shannon Buxton officiating.
Committal service will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery under the guidance of White Oaks, Oakdale.
Robert, 77, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Friday, November 9, 2018 in Allen Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on January 12, 1941 to Barkley Pierre LaBorde and Lela (Hatch) LaBorde in Pineville. He attended Plainview High School and was self-employed for 50 plus years as a Logger. He loved hunting, competitive logging, drag racing, and loved cooking for his family and friends. Robert spent his life making people laugh. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Barkley and Lela LaBorde; his loving wife of sixty years, Annette LaBorde; two brothers, Irby LaBorde and Charles LaBorde.
He leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memory: two sons, Scotty LaBorde and wife Hope of Oakdale, and Terry LaBorde and wife Dedria of Oakdale; four daughters, Debra Atwood of Prospect, Reanna Hunter and husband, Anthony of Dallas, Texas, Marcie LaBorde of Houston, Texas; and Caren Vidrine and husband Tony of Pitkin; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren, and along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be his grandsons.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 2 pm until 9 pm and on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 10 am until service time at 2 pm in White Oaks Memorial Chapel.
