Private Cornelius Grauer, 15 Sylvan Terrace, was killed in action July 28. He was but 16 years of age when he enlisted in the Twelfth Regiment, National Guard, a year ago. He was later transferred to the 165th Regiment and attached to headquarters. He left this country for France with the Rainbow Division in October and received his first injuries in April. His wound at that time was so serious that he was confined to a base hospital for two months, but upon recovery returned immediately to the trenches. Prior to enlisting he lived with his mother in Sylvan Terrace.
