Frank W. Burton, 83, of Lake Zurich passed away November 13, 2018. He was born in Chandlerville, IL on July 1, 1935.
He graduated from Virginia High School, IL in 1953. Frank served in the Air Force and was stationed overseas between 1956 and 1959 in Japan and Korea just after the Korean War ended. Frank married the love of his life, the late Joan E. Burton (nee Newton), on October 15, 1960.
Frank was quite the treasure hunter – he brought his metal detector wherever he went.
Survivors include his children, Wendy (Lionel) DeGrand and Frank A. (Cindi) Burton; grandchildren, Stephanie (Maxwell) Reese and Valerie Burton; great-grandchild, Madelynne Reese; and sister, Mary Beth Reese.
He was preceded in death by his wife and his sister, Charlotte Free.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, November 18, from 3:00pm until the time of a service at 7:00pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte 176), Crystal Lake.
Both Frank and Joan will be buried together privately at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
