Mable T. Ruesch, age 84 of Maynard died on November 7, 2012 at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Sunday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Clara City and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Mable Tillie Ruesch was born on September 11, 1928 in Rheiderland Twp., Chippewa County, Minnesota, the daughter of Kasjen and Augusta (Miller) Niemeyer. She grew up in the Clara City / Maynard area where she attended country school. She worked with her sister at a cafe in Gluek. She married Elmer Iffert. On December 11, 1961 was united in marriage to Lloyd Ruesch in Montevideo. The couple lived and farmed in the Maynard area.

Mable was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City where she was later active with ladies aid. She was also a member of the D.A. V. Auxiliary in Montevideo and 40/8 in Montevideo.

Mable enjoyed playing cards, doing latch hook rugs, and visiting with friends. She cherished the times she could spend with her family. Her family will remember her excellent cooking especially her pot roast.

Mable is survived by her husband Lloyd Ruesch of Maynard; son Willis Iffert; daughter Lucinda Gavere; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brother August Niemeyer and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law David Gavere, brother, Ervin Niemeyer and sister Sophie Bodin.
