Kenneth Blair, 88, of Lexington, passed away at home Wednesday November 28, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Anna Lou Blair, two daughters, Beverly (Jim) Tharp and Tammy (Tom) Kmetz and five grandchildren, Jen (Bryan), Jordan (Christina), Blair (Misha), Christian and Lillie, and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Carol (Jack) Sturgill-Bryant and brother, Tony (Mary Carolyn) Blair. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Vina Blair, and sister Lorene Kahler. Kenneth served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired Bluegrass Area Superintendent for Kentucky Vocational Education. He attended Porter Memorial Baptist Church and loved being outdoors, gardening, winters in Florida, and most especially, time with his family. He was an exceptional craftsman, a patient listener, a wise counselor and a thoughtful and loving husband, father and granddaddy. Visitation is Friday, November 30, 4:00-6:00 PM at Kerr Brothers, 3421 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, KY. On Saturday, December 1, there will be a visitation at Letcher Funeral Home, 102 Main St., Whitesburg, KY, from 11:00 – 1:00 with funeral at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow immediately at the John Hampton Cemetery, Jeremiah, KY.
