Richard "Rick" Adams was born and grew up in Long Beach.
He served in the Vietnam War as a decorated Navy pilot and navigator.
After being discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1972, Rick returned to Long Beach and established Adams Bookkeeping and Tax Service, continuing to strengthen his ties to the Long Beach community.
Rick was an avid sailor and a longtime member of Seal Beach Yacht Club. He also held an amateur Ham Radio license (Call Sign KD6ODU) and shared his interest with friends and fellow enthusiasts.
Rick is survived by his mother, Jane M. Adams, of Long Beach and Rancho Mirage. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Arrangements under the care of All Souls Mortuary, Long Beach, CA.
