A Clark County resident for the past 47 years, Evelyn W. Maloney died in Portland Friday, Jan. 2, 1997, in Portland. She was 75.

Mrs. Maloney was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Clark County Genealogical Association, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Colonial Dames of the 17th Century, Daughters of Union Veterans and Daughters of American Colonists.

Mrs. Maloney was born June 23, 1922, in Orange, Calif. She was a Girl Scout leader and enjoyed traveling.

She worked as an administrative assistant for a chemical company.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Thomas A., at home; one daughter, Joyce A. Locke of Vancouver; one son, Robert R. of Vancouver; one brother, Richard Webster of Santa Ana, Calif.; three sisters, Mary Jones of Norco, Calif., Phyllis Friesen of Orange and Delcine Schmitke of Vancouver; and one granddaughter.

A vigil service will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Columbian, Monday, January 5, 1998
