Charles J. Summitt, 51, of 132 Shadewoods, died Friday at St. Anthony Hospital. He was a native of Anderson County, a foreman at Sealy Mattress Co. and a member of First Christian Church of Bardstown.

Survivors include his wife, the former Wilda Durbin; four daughters, Carla Cissell, Tina Gentry, Rhoda Wright and Kathy Ray; five sons, Charles, Barry, Stephen and Kevin Summitt and Chucky Statland; his mother, Mrs. Irene Summitt; eight sisters, Christine Harold of Jeffersonville, Ind., Janie Richardson of Orlando, Fla., Martha Lewis of Coxs Creek, Lula Snellen, Shirley Wilson, Loraine Sebrune and Linda Ritchie, all of Bardstown, Pricilla Ludka; four brothers, James Summitt of Atlanta, Floyd Summitt of Coxs Creek, Ralph and Philip Summitt, both of Bardstown; and 11 grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel at Evergreen Cemetery, Visitation at Ratterman's, 7330 Southside Drive, will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
