Born in Santa Clara, Cuba, June 8, 1921, she died at her home in Baton Rouge, Tuesday, October 2, 2018.

She is survived by her two daughters and a son-in-law, Tere and Tino Dalmau of Baton Rouge, Maria Rodriguez of Miami; son, Felipe Martinez and fiancée Tracy Munson of Plaquemine; nephew Ruben Martinez whom she loved like a son; 7 grandchildren: Alex and wife Adele Dalmau, Michael and wife Kimberly Dalmau, Carolina and husband Mauricio Salcedo, Paola and husband Geneo Gracey, Felipe Martinez, Francisca and husband Randolph Comeaux, Annelies and husband Darren Kattan; eleven great-grandchildren: Christina, Marie Claire, George and Audrey Dalmau; Charlie and Elena Dalmau; Marcela Salcedo; Iliana and Paul Gracey; Annelies and Eloise Comeaux; her many loving friends; her faithful friend Valeska Pacheco; and caregivers The Hospice of Baton Rouge, Ashley Fletcher, Judy Pol, and Valerie Camper.

She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-seven years, Felipe S. Martinez; daughter-in-law Annelies O. Martinez; son-in-law Pablo S. Rodriguez.

Visitation will be Friday at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. celebrated by the Rev. Cleo Milano. Rabenhorst Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA 70806; or The Hospice of Baton Rouge.
