His birthdate shown is actually his Christening date. Birthplace was in Fortingall Parish, and was likely in or between Killichonan and Kinloch Rannoch on the North Shore of Loch Rannoch. A brother, John MacGREGOR is burried at Lassintulloch Cemetery near Kinloch Rannoch. Duncan's eldest son Neil was born in Kinloch Rannoch in 1816 and emigrated to Upper Canada (now called Ontario). Duncan was a textiles merchant. He wanted to emigrate to Upper Canada too, but a recession prevented him from selling his textiles stock at reasonable prices.

Very tall stone. Casket on top. The face is scaling off, taking wording with it. This will continue as rain gets in and freezes.
