Adell G. Frye, beloved wife and mother, died the morning of Wednesday December 26, 2018 due to respiratory failure. She was the daughter of the late Lucian Gilliam and Charlotte (Lottie) Moore Gilliam. Adell was 84 years old at the time of her passing.
She was born in Edison,TN and raised in Kingsport, TN, graduating from Lynn View High School in Kingsport.

As a young lady Adell worked at Holston Defense, “Doc” Frye’s Office of Optometry, and then worked for many years in PA in the West Chester East High School Library until she retired.

She met her late husband, Cecil M. Frye while working in his father, “Doc” Frye’s office. After they were married, they moved to Pennsylvania where they raised their five children.

Once retired, Adell and Cecil moved back to their hometown of Kingsport to spend their remaining golden years. Adell loved reading, cross-stitch, gardening, cooking, and doing cross-word puzzles.

Besides her parents and husband, Adell was preceded in death by a sister, Darlena Gilliam Ashworth; a brother, C.L Gilliam and sister-n-law, Peggy Puckett, a son-n-law Danny Bindschusz, and a nephew, Scott Frye.

She is survived by; two daughters, Carrie Frye of Kingsport, TN., and Emily Bindschusz of Phoenixville, PA; three sons, Russell Frye and wife Anne (Koellish) of New Milford, CT., Charles Frye of West Chester, PA, and Bruce Frye and partner, Joy Bennati of Downingtown, PA; two grandsons, Danny Bindschusz II and partner, Michael Dore of Pottstown, PA and Kyle Frye of New Milford, CT.; two granddaughters, Rebecca Bindschusz and partner, Jason White of Royersford, PA and Ashley Frye (D.V.M.) and fiancé Aaron Bell of Cambridge, MA; one great grandson Kayden White: two nieces and five nephews.

Those wishing to pay their respects to the family may do so from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, December 31, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
