Esther M. Davinsizer
Oct. 14, 1921 - May 25, 2007

Esther M. Davinsizer, 85, of Altoona went home to be with her Lord after a battle with cancer. She was born in Pinecroft, daughter of the late Clarence and Lillian (Pfahler) Claar. She married Albert B. Davinsizer March 2, 1939, in Bellwood. Albert died Aug. 17, 1980.

Esther is survived by daughters: Shirley Nicodemus, Betty Worley and Lois Hampton, all of Bellwood, and Lillian Humholtz of Bellwood; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; sons: Kenneth and Albert "Butch;" grandson, Kevin Davinsizer; and sons-in-law: Glen R. Nicodemus and Paul E. Worley Jr.

Mrs. Davinsizer was a member of Juniata Church of the Brethren. She retired from RSL Shuttlecock of Altoona as a laborer. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, bingo, flowers and camping. She was a member of the Pinecroft Firehall Ladies Auxiliary.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 28, 2007, at Vincent J. Good Funeral Parlor, Bellwood. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at the funeral parlor, Pastor Jeffrey Luther officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park.
