James Caldwell was born on September 2, 1911 in Maury County, Tennessee, the son of Henry Caldwell and Bessie (Crutcher) Caldwell.
A drug store clerk living at 1722 Cockrill Street in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, he was single and 35 years old when he died at home of organic heart disease on April 14, 1947. Burial was three days later in Mount Ararat Cemetery, Nashville.
