Christine "Tina" Gray made her transition on Dec. 23, 2018.
A celebration of her life will be held Friday, at 11 a.m., at the New Hope Baptist Church, 106 Sussex Ave., Newark, N.J. Interment is at Rosedale Cemetery, Orange, N.J. Visitation is Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Arrangements are by Whigham Funeral Home.
Born in Hartford, Conn., Tina was a resident of Piscataway, N.J., and a former resident of Vauxhall, N.J. She was a community activist for Vauxhall, N.J. She served in the Women's Army Corps. in World War II.
Tina was the beloved wife of the late Herman C. Gray; loving mother of Donna F. White (Richard) and the late Dianne Green; dear daughter of the late Drewey and Dora Gary, and cherished grandmother of Todd Fluker, Dorian and Damon White. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by one brother.
