Mary was the daughter of John Bayard Reeves and Sarah (Luse or Luce) Mundell.

On 18 Oct 1832 she married Joseph Mundell.

Families with the Mundell name are shown in the Greene twp. censuses with various spelling: Mundell, Mundel & Mundle. These spelling variants also appear on some tombstones.

The census of 1860, 1870 & 1880 shows the couple with the following children living with them:

Rebecca, b. 1838, d. 1841 (she is not named in any census)
John, b. abt 1840 PA
Jacob, b. abt 1844 PA
Eliza J., b, 1846-8
Abner, b. 1847-8 PA
Margaret, b. abt 1848 PA
Joseph, b. 1852-3
Samantha, b. abt. 1854 (also shown as Slauther)

Also shown was a grandson
Joseph, b. abt 1858.

Note the ages for the birth year were not consistent with each year the census was taken. This includes Joseph & Mary and several of the children.

Both Mary and Joseph are buried in this cemetery, along with others shown with the names of Mundel & Mundell.

Mrs. Mary Mundle died at her home near Willow Tree, on Friday last age 79 years, from a complication of diseases. Services were held at the house on Sunday by Revs. Jaco and Longaneckeer, after which they remains were interred. Mrs. Mundle was a Christian lady, and a member of the Goshen Baptist Church at Garard's Fort. She leaves behind numerous relatives and many friends to mourn her departure. She had lived long beyond the allotted time .
