Virgil Lowell Jr., 88, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away surrounded by his two daughters and grandchildren Saturday January 5, 2019. He was born October 19, 1930 in Grand Junction, Colorado to Virgil and Eva Lowell. Virgil was a devoted husband to Bonnie for 58 years and a loving father to his four children Tom, Laurie, Bonnie, and Jamie. He was the best grandfather to his seven grandchildren Steven, Andrew, Bryttanie, Brandon, Danica, Brady, and Dakota as well as his six great grandchildren Maddison, Brylynn, Brooklynn, Kendal, Thomas, and Jaxon. Virgil served in the Army where he was honorably discharged with a purple heart. When he married the love of his life and started having children, he had many jobs including owning a barber shop and working at the US Postal Service, where he retired at the age of 75. Virgil loved taking his children and grandchildren on trips to visit family, so they would know all of their relatives. Funeral service is at 9:30 Am Thursday January 10, 2019 at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek, Phoenix 85024.
