Mr. Lemuel Issac Beasley, 57, of Rt. 3, Box 242, Leland, died Saturday morning in New Hanover Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Beasley was the son of the late George and Mae Hardison Beasley. He attended the Leland Church of God.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Grace Beasley of the home; a son, George Beasley of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Judy Longino of Mooresville, NC; six brothers: Caroll Beasley of Leland; L. C. Beasley of Burgaw; L. B. Beasley of Cove City, NC; Joe Beasley of Harkers Island, NC; Delmar Beasley of Burgaw, NC; and Earl Beasley of Carthage, NC; two sisters: Mrs. Gladys Worrell of Burgaw, NC; and Mrs. Mary McIntosh of Jacksonville, NC; and a grandson; Justin Longino.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 1990, in the Leland Church of God with the Reverend Flemon Ard and the Reverend David Whitley. Interment will follow in the Leland Baptist Church Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Peter Freeman, Robert Jordan, Frankie Thomas, Louis "Bobby" Brown, Lester Morris and Ricky Fowler.
The family will receive friends at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday.
