Troy T. Beasley

BEASLEY, TROY T., 74, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Baptist East Hospital.

He was born February 13, 1936 in Jacksonville, NC to the late George Beasley and Mae Hardison Beasley.

He was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of St. Andrews United Church of Christ and the Skirts and Flirts Square Dance and Round Club, and was a United States Coast Guard veteran. He was retired from Bellsouth.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Beasley and 14 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by two daughters, June (John) Heffley and Allison (Eddie) Allen; two sons, Robert (Anita) Beasley and Timothy (Desiree) Beasley; 10 grandchildren, Joshua (Andrea) Heffley, Jarrod Heffley, Jonathan Heffley, Rebecca (Jason) Logan, Elizabeth Ann Beasley, Benjamin Beasley, A.J. Allen, Austin Allen, Troy Allen and Kai Timothy Beasley; one great-grandchild, Aaron Logan; four brothers, L.C., Joe, Carroll and Delmar Beasley and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of his life will be conducted Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at noon at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

The family request donations in lieu of flowers be sent to the Disabled American Veterans, Department of Kentucky, P.O. Box 129, Shepherdsville, KY 40165.
