Funeral services for Mrs. Winona Archer, wife of W. H. Archer of Trace Fork, were held from the Vail Funeral Home Wednesday and burial was in the family cemetery. Mrs. Archer died at her home Friday morning at six o'clock after an illness of several years. She was 63 years of age.
She married W. H. Archer in 1897, and surviving are eight children: Mrs. Fay Somerville and Mrs. Grace Koehler, both of Mississippi; Mrs. Olive Houghton, of Charleston; Homer, Hubert and Glenn Archer, all of Akron, Ohio; Joan Archer of Tuetown, WV; Benny Archer, of the U.S. Army, stationed in Calif.; one sister, Mary Jane Riley, of Sandyville; two brothers, George Brown, of Sandyville, and Homer Brown, of Indiana, and 12 grandchildren.
