Tucson - Judith A. Hughes, 75, of Tucson, AZ, died of cancer at home on Saturday, January 5, 2019. Judy was born July 12, 1943, in Manitowoc, WI. She was the daughter of Arthur Pritzl and Bernice Cummings Pritzl. Judy was a 1961 graduate of Valders High School. She married Thomas Kings and he preceded her in death in 1970. Judy married Thomas Hughes on August 26, 1978. After living and working many years in West Allis, Judy and Tom relocated to Tucson, AZ where they enjoyed the warm weather and beautiful view of the mountains. Judy was an ardent fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and U.W. Badgers football teams. She was a keen observer of current events and actively supported favored political candidates in their campaigns. She was an avid reader and a steadfast friend. Judy was a treasured sister and supportive aunt. Survivors include her husband, Tom; sisters, Bernita Meidl, Mary Lou (Tom) Rolland, Beverly Markvart, Virginia (David) Thompson, Kathryn (David) Lich; brothers, Anthony (Millie) Pritzl, Thomas (Gina) Pritzl; sisters-in-law, Donna Tallard, Cheryl (Don) Kahles, Barbara (John) Schelfhout, Joan Livermore; brothers-in-law, Howard Hughes, Gerald (Darcy) Blaha, Robert Kings, Jr. ; godson, Anthony Schelfhout. Judy was beloved by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; special friends, Jean and Jim Rathke. She was preceded in death by her first husband; parents; sister, Nancy (Pritzl) Blaha and her children, Arthur and Ellen McDermott; brother-in-law, Kenneth Meidl; fathers and mothers-in-law; William and Dolores Hughes, Robert Sr. and Mary Kings. Judy will be buried at St. Mary's Cemetery Clark Mills, WI during a private service.
