Clara Wallace Potter, 100 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away at her home on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019. Clara was born November 22, 1918 to the late Jim Wallace and Elvira Branham Wallace. She was a member of the Elkhorn City Church of Christ and a homemaker. In addition to her parents Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Potter; five brothers, Rufus, Josh, Ferrell, Lawrence and Billy Ray Wallace; and two sisters, Rosalie Crum and Faye Childers. Clara is survived by a son, Michael Potter of Elkhorn City, KY; two daughters, Mary Ellen Bailiff of Mooresburg, TN and Brenda Sue Anderson of Bean Station, TN; six grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. Clara is also survived by one brother, John Paul Wallace of Wooster, OH and one sister, Polly Thompson of Yawkey, WV. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 6-10PM at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 12:00 from the chapel with Frank Crum officiating. Burial will follow in the Potter Cemetery on Elkhorn Creek.
