He is survived by his companion of forty years; a daughter, a son. Besides his immediate family he leaves two brothers, two sisters. He was pre-deceased by his parents, John and Hazel Deeter and his sister Margaret Salvas.
Tom enjoyed traveling around the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. He also immensely enjoyed his "grand-dog" Miss Hartley the Basset Hound. He was employed as a shipper, receiver, and truck driver for Sandman/Lewcott for his entire career. He was also a sustained member of the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association. The family would like to express gratitude to MedStar Ambulance and the staff at UMASS Memorial University-Emergency Room for their heroic efforts and compassion.
