Mrs Alberta Layfield Jinks, 85 years of age, died at the Upson County Hospital, Monday, at 1 a.m. Funeral services were held at the Howard Methodist Church, Tuesday, at 11 a.m. with the Rev Bernard McCard, pastor of the Molena Baptist Church officiating. Interment was in the Howard Cemetery.
Mrs Jinks was born in Taylor Co. She was the widow of Marion W Jinks. For the past few years she had lived with her daughter, Mrs Homer Bankston, of Molena. She is survived by another daughter, Mrs Cecil Amos, of Macon; sons, Gordon Jinks, and J O Jinks, both of Butler. Six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive.
