RYE - Lorraine H. Currier, 87, of 160 Perkins Road, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, in Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

She was born Jan. 11, 1916, in Merrimack, the daughter of the late Josiah N. and Marguerite W. (Bushee) Henderson and had resided in Rye since 1943.

Mrs. Currier was the assistant librarian at Rye Public Library retiring in 1981 after 16 years of service.

She was an active member of Rye Congregational Church and enjoyed the Bible Study Group. She was a member of the Rye Art Study Group and was a former member of the Rye Garden Club, the Rye Historical Society and the Rye Over 55 Club.

She is survived by her husband Norman L. Currier; three daughters; one sister, Ruth Rarer of Rye (2015); one stepson, and one stepdaughter.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Norman K. Cameron, who died in 1982; and one brother, Lawrence Henderson.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Rye Congregational Church, Rye Center. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Rye.
