Her birth date/year differed widely in the documents (i.e. the 1900 census lists it as February 1867, whereas her obituary lists her as 84, and her North Carolina death certificate lists her age as 74). She was married to William Isaac Ashe (1871-1950) on 17 April 1898 in Sylva, NC. They had several children. She died on 4 March 1947 in Scotts Creek, NC at the age of 80. She was interred in the Ashe family cemetery.
