Dottie Elswick Adams, 72, of Coal Fork, went home to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer. Preceded in death by her son, Timmy Ray Butts; her parents, Buddy and Elsie Elswick; sisters, Thelma Johnson, Kay Allen and Jill Leedy; brothers, Ricky, Wendall and Robin Elswick; and maternal grandparents, Ollie and Mertha Landers. Surviving son, Earl Wayne Butts of Campbells Creek; grandson, Jason Townsend of Charleston; sisters, Sophia (Richard) Shannon of Dry Branch, Rita (Fred) Creech of Alum Creek, Irma (Kent) Belcher of Campbells Creek and Teresa Elswick of Boone County; brothers, Junior (Blanche), John (Lynn), Dallas (Katie) and Randy (Janet) Elswick, all of Campbells Creek; and lots of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her very much. The funeral service was at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with Pastor Curtis Mack officiating. The burial was at in Crowder Cemetery, Cinco on Campbells Creek.
Dottie Lou Elswick & Ivan Earl Butts were married in Kanawha County West Virginia August 1962.
