ISABEL PARSLEY, 84
Homemaker
Isabel Parsley, a Merced County resident for 60 years, died Thursday in Merced. She was 84.
Mrs. Parsley was born July 10, 1913, in Oklahoma, and had lived in Winton and Merced since 1938. She was a homemaker and mother from the age of 19. She was a member of the Calvary Temple Pentecostal Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband "Pappy" Parsley, in 1990, her parents, Robert and Hanna Smith; two brothers, Preston and Olie Smith; and four sisters, Maude Rogers, Jane Rowlin, Almeda Coble and Pearl Scott.
Mrs. Parsley is survived by three daughters, Alice Stephens, Lorraine Broussard of Merced, and Betty Luis of Coalinga, three sons, Donal Parsley, George Parsley, and Larry Parsley, all of Merced; 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Monday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the J. Vernon Ivers Chapel of the funeral home, with a Calvary Temple Pentecostal.
Burial will follow at Winton District Cemetery.
