A PIONEER GONE.
DEATH OF MRS. ANDREA PALESTINO DE LUGO OF LUGO RANCHO.
Very many of the old time merchants of Los Angeles and Southern California will be surprised and shocked to know that Mrs. Andrea Palestino [sic, Ballesteros] de Lugo is dead. She passed away Sunday [20th] at the age of 78 [sic, 72] years, death being caused by ills incident to old age. The funeral will be held from the Roman Catholic cathedral In this city this afternoon and the remains will then be taken back to the ranch for interment in the cemetery near there.
