Eliza was the wife of George Billings a Canadian born ship rigger. They were the parents of five children, all born in Boston, including Emma in 1852; Elizabeth in 1854; Charlotte in 1858; Charles in 1859; and George on May 5, 1861.

Eliza was 28 years, 11 months, and 19 days old when she died of Tuberculosis at 21 Purchase St. in Boston's current Bay Village neighborhood, one of 15 Boston residents to die of the "White Plague" that week.

No definitive records have been found regarding Eliza's husband George or children following her death.
