Funeral will be at 10:30 am Monday at Bateman Funeral Chapel for Roy L. Axt, a retired carpenter and former owner of a hardwood floor business. Mr. Axt died Friday at a Vancouver, Wash. hospital of cancer, he was 62.
Mr. Axt was born in Oshkosh, Wis. and moved to Portland as a child. He attended Parkrose High School and was a member of the Gresham Elks Lodge, Our Savior Lutheran Church and the auxiliary fire department in Boring.
He was a Boring resident from 1955 to 19670.
Surviving are his wife, Lucille; a daughter, Jackie McCarty of Chandler, Ariz; and a sister, Eleanor Stuerhoff of Columbia City.
Vault interment will be in Rose City cemetery.
